Polyfibers, the subsidiary company of Cesur Packaging Corporation, started producing technical textile and construction materials in 2001. It is the first manufacturer of micro reinfrcement fibers in Turkey. It reached a great success with its own technology in the worldwide markets in a very short period of time.

The products are;

polyproplyene multiflament fibers ( Polyfiber M Type)

  • M fibers can be used for both indoor & outdoor applications (screeds, mortars,
  • Plasters stucco as well as industrial applications)
  • These are invisible fibers and they are distributed evenly in the mixture
  • They are suitable for hand and mechanical mixing
  • Reduces formation of plastic settlement and shrinkage cracks
  • M fibers can replace mortar reinforcement nets in some cases
  • They provide fire resistance for concrete; it is especially preferred for fire protection of tunnels

polyproplyene fibrillated fibers ( Polyfiber F Type)

  • Generally used for outdoor applications & heavy traffic areas (concrete roads, harbors, taxi routes &industrial floors)
  • They provide anti crack properties as well as durability
  • Requires 5 min rapid mechanical mixing for proper distribution

steel reinforcement fibers (wave shaped & hooked) (Polyfiber S Type)

  • Increases the load bearing capacity of concrete by improving durability and ductility in the long term
  • Steel fibers reinforce concrete on three dimensions like other micro reinforcement systems
  • They increase the impact resistance over twenty times if used between 15 45kg per m3
  • Moreover steel fibers reduce the growth of cracks & improves toughness b reinorcing the plain concrete
    Provides exceptional abrasion and spalling resistance.
    Steel fibers prevent micro cracks in concrete subjected to cyclical loading
    Has two different types; wave shaped and hooked

tests...

A large-scale independent test has been made in Technical University of Istanbul, Building Material Laboratory of Architectural Faculty. The various characteristics of polypropylene fibers both mortar and concrete mixtures have been tested. All tests conducted according to ASTM and TSE standarts.

  • ASTM C 490-96 “Standart Practice for Use of Apparatus for the Determination of Length Change of Hardened Cement Paste, Mortar and Concrete”
  • ASTM C 39-96 “Standart Test Method for Compressive Strength of Cylindrical Concrete Specimens”
  • ASTM C 78-94 “Standart Test Method for Flexural Strength of Concrete, ( Using Simple Beam with Center Point Loading)
  • ASTM C 116-90 “ Standart Test Method for Compressive Strength of Concrete Using Portions of Beams Broken in Flexure”
